The President of the Republic makes plea for African UN veto

The proposal of H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, to give African countries the final say over Security Council's actions in Africa, was given during the speech to the Special General Session of the UN held yesterday, April 25, at the headquarters of this organization.
The President of the Republic called for African nations to obtain a right of veto over the actions of the Security Council of the UN.

Activities of the President in the BRICS Summit

The Head of State has actively participated in the 5th Summit of the BRICS Group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), which was held in Durban. H.E. Obiang Nguema gave as the example of African development the economic program drawn up by the Government of Equatorial Guinea.
The 5th BRICS Summit took place this year in Durban, South Africa's eastern city, during March 26 and 27, under the theme "BRICS Association and Africa for development, integration and industrialization". In the celebration of this forum the Equatorial Guinean delegation headed by the President of the Republic, H.E Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, also participated who has attended these meetings as a special guest. The summit was also attended by the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh, the president of the Central Bank of Brazil, Alexandre Tombini, the Ministers of Finance of Brazil, Guido Mantega, and of Russia, Anton Siluanov, and the South African Minister of Trade and industry, Rob Davies.

Obiang Nguema at the 5th Annual BRICS Group Summit

The Head of State has traveled to South Africa to participate in the summit of the BRICS Group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa), which this time is dedicated to bilateral relations between its members.
H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo participates in the group's fifth annual summit, held in South Africa. The Head of State was seen off on Monday at the Bata International Airport by members of the Government, which included the Second Vice President of the Republic, Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue. The President interrupted, momentarily, the pre-election tour that is taking place throughout the country.

The Head of State visits Bata and Mbini

The President of the Republic and his wife visited both cities in the official tour that will take them to all the jurisdictional districts of the country.
The city of Bata, capital of the province of Litoral, has become the fourth stage of the official tour of the Head of State, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo and his wife, the Honorary President of the Women's Democratic Party of Equatorial Guinea (PDGE), Constancia Mangue de Obiang, throughout the country on the occasion of the upcoming Senate, municipal and legislative elections that will take place in May in our country.

The President of Nigeria will visit Equatorial Guinea

After returning from Thailand, the Head of State of Equatorial Guinea will receive his counterpart from Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, on his official visit that he will make to our country between March 21 and 22. In addition, on Tuesday, March 19, H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo also begins the pre-elections tour around the country.
The Nigeria-Equatorial Guinea relations are at an exciting time in their history and proof of this are the continuous visits and exchanges that occur, with increasing frequency, between the two countries. Just a month ago the Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan visited our country during the ASA summit, and in the coming days, Jonathan will return Malabo to conduct a new official visit to our country.
